NSS stands for National Service Scheme.Apart from developing oneself,it is the responsibility of every individual to look after the development of the nation as a whole. To give real service, one must add something which cannot be bought or measured with money, and that is sincerity and integrity.
NSS (National Service Scheme) programme is organised by the students of IIT Hyderabad themselves, and both students and teachers through their combined participation in community service, get involved in the tasks of nation building. It is a four year voluntary service where students develop their personality through social service. NSS at IIT Hyderabad is aimed at providing each student with a significant context in which he/she can reach a deeper understanding of social reality in India today. NSS encourages the meaning of the life through service in the realm of today's changing world.
Consciously or unconsciously, every one of us does render some service or other. If we cultivate the habit of doing this service deliberately, our desire for service will steadily grow stronger, and will make, not only our own happiness, but that of the world at large.NSS IITH sincerely works with this motivation to see smile on every individual. You can join your hands with us to be apart of these activities.
